IECRC Bahrain Picnic 2015

IECRC Bahrain Picnic 2015

IECRC Bahrain conducts children’s classes on the first Saturday of each month.

After the completion of our 2nd annual year, we planned our first outing with both children and moms together. IECRC’S 1st annual children’s picnic spot was the “PRINCE SHAIKH KHALIFA BIN SALMAN PARK” famously known as “HIDD PARK” in the beautiful Kingdom of Bahrain. The day was Saturday 21st November, 2015.

With lots of preparations done by our dear aunties Zareen aunty (Chief Picnic Organizer) and Shagufta aunty and our dear aapis Sadiya aapi, Aysha aapi and Asha aapi, a perfect picnic was planned. All the snack and food items were pre-confirmed and a proper schedule and rules list were made by our aapis and few surprise fun activities were also planned in advance. Shagufta ammi showed us how to have fun but also not forget our religious duties.

We began our day with a surprise learning but fun activity. This activity was to find out prayer timings with the help of the sun. In this method we know prayer times by seeing the length of our shadow. So we had to see the length every 10 minutes. After this activity we played throw ball which was great fun and read Dhuhar Namaz followed by dua.

After Namaz there was a snack session. There were varieties of food, Alhamdulillah!!! We all ate our snacks. Later there was a parent teachers meeting. While the meeting was going on, all children were playing on their own. The meeting nearly took half an hour to complete. After the meeting there was a game arranged by Sadiya aapi. The game was ’20 questions’. This game was played as groups and it was a funny and interesting game. The thing which was most interesting in this game was guessing what’s in a person’s mind?? After this game, there was another game called ‘Charades’. This game was like ‘Dumsharaz’ but we had to enact an unknown word. The unique thing about all these games was that the words being used were all related to Islam. So while we had fun with familiar games, by using Islamic terms, we converted them to Islamic games!

After the game was over, we did our activity of determining Namaz time by our shadow. And yes! It was Asr now. We all read Namaz and had our lunch. Everyone shared and enjoyed the food. Lunch was yummy Biryani. The best part of the picnic was after lunch. A game called ‘Zombies’ was set. This game made all kids and elders run simultaneously and it was great fun. After this game there was another game called ‘Help!Help!’ which was also very enjoyable. All of us had a great time!

At the end of the day, as good Muslims we made sure the green park wasn’t dirty. We all cleaned whatever mess was made. Later we all were ready to leave. We left at Maghrib and few people left after Maghrib Namaz.  This wonderful day cheered us all. We had a great memorable time together. Insha Allah looking forward to go to IECRC’s picnic again next year!

I want to thank on behalf of all children our dear Shagufta ammi, Zareen aunty, all other aunties, Sadiya aapi, Aysha aapi, Asha aapi for organizing this wonderful picnic event. Below are some pictures from our picnic:

Kindness

with 3 comments

Nahmaduhu wa Nusalli wa nusallimu alaa Rasoolihil Kareem

A’oodhu Billaahi Minashaitaanir Rajeem Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem.
As Salaamu ‘Alai Kum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa barakaatuhu!

Today I am going to share my view about Kindness.

In today’s world we find very few people having kindness, but when we see the past we find that all Nabis, Sahabas, Tabi’een, Tabi Tabi’een and Awliya e Kiraam were very kind and generous. They spent their whole life doing Ibadat, preaching Islam and doing khidmat of Allah’s creation.

“Kindness is one part of Khidmat.”

There are four easy steps you can practise to develop Kindness.

1. When you talk to a person, talk to them kindly even if they are your friend or enemy.
2. When you try to explain to your brother, sister, or friend when they are doing something wrong, try to explain to them kindly, not just yell at them.
3. We should be kind to poor people by giving them even 100 fils, not just pretend like we didn’t see them and walk away. In India people think that the beggars are just pretending to be poor. But we should not bother that they are really poor or pretending, instead we should give something to them with correct niyyah.
4. We should be kind to animals, birds and plants .We should not hit them with stones, slippers and sticks. We should just scare them away. They are actually scared of us and want to protect themselves and their babies. We should not pluck flowers or leaves even though they look pretty, nice or smell good. As there is a ‘heart’ in each one of them. Allah has given all the plants, animals and birds a heart and it hurts them deeply.

So these were the few easy steps that we can try to develop so that we can be kind and generous as our scholars.

Jazak Allah Khayr!

BismiLlaahir Rahmaanir Raheem

Was Salaatu was Salaamu ‘alaa Rasoolihil Kareem

In its annual tradition and under the patronage of the Imam Malik bin Anas (ra) Society, the Islamic Educational and Cultural Research Center (IECRC) conducted its Annual Women’s Conference 2013 at the Bahrain Society of Engineers auditorium in Juffair, Kingdom of Bahrain on February 8, 2013. The theme of this year’s conference was “Loving the Beloved of Allah in the Footsteps of the Noble Companions.” Local speakers enlightened the audience on the lives of the Khulafa Rashideen (Rightly Guided Caliphs) and other Noble Companions (may Allah be pleased with them all) emphasizing how they lived a life of complete devotion to the Holy Prophet sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam. Invited special guest from Pakistan Hafiza Javeria Saleem graced the occasion with her moving recitation of the Holy Quran as well as poetry in praise of the Holy Prophet Muhammad sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam. The spiritual and educational gathering was attended by about 150 women and children.

Prior to the Conference opening, past and current IECRC services in the USA and Canada were presented to the audience for their reference. The Conference was then opened with welcoming the audience on behalf of IECRC’s Directors Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ahmed Qadri and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Abdullah Qadri (May Allah protect them and grant them long life with health, Aameen).

Hafiza Javeria Saleem, recipient of the “Best Female Qariya in Pakistan,”  “Youngest Qariya of Pakistan” and “Best Female Naatkhwan in Pakistan” awards, commenced this spiritual and educational gathering with a heart moving recitation of the Chapter Ar-Rahman (The Most Merciful) of the Holy Quran. Sister Sumera and Sister Ruqayya provided the Urdu and English translations of the verses respectively so the audience could benefit from the meanings of these Divine Words.

Beautiful couplets of Hamd (Praise of Allah Almighty) were presented by Sister Atiya followed by the world renowned Qaseeda Burdah of the great 13th century CE Egyptian scholar and poet Imam Sharafuddeen Busiri rahmatullah alayh presented by Hafiza Javeria in her unique style.

A colorful and dynamic group of young children presented the famous lines of Tala’al Badru ‘alayna – the couplet that exhorts Muslims that it is obligatory upon us to show gratitude to Allah Almighty for the greatest Da’ee that this world has ever seen and will see – the Holy Prophet Muhammad sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam. It was stated that these annual IECRC Conferences in honor of the Holy Prophet Muhammad sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam were organized in response to this command to exhibit gratitude.

Sister Asma AbdulJabbar of the Imam Malik bin Anas (ra) Society spoke in Arabic, later briefing her talk in English, about the blessed personality of our Holy Prophet Muhammad sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam. The series of speeches was rounded off by IECRC USA & Canada representative and co-founder of its work’s expansion in Bahrain, Syeda Shagufta Ahmad who spoke on the love of Syedna Bilal ibn Rabah radi Allahu anhu for the Holy Prophet Muhammad sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam also mentioning the “Black” History month commemoration of USA.

The educational speeches were interlaced with reverberating Naat presentations by Hafiza Javeria Saleem who ended the beautiful gathering with the Salute to our Beloved Prophet sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam and the famous Ya Ilahi prayer of the 14th century Hijri Mujaddid Syedna Imam Ahmed Raza Khan rahmatullah alayh.

Syeda Shagufta Ahmed offered the vote of thanks acknowledging the efforts of the dedicated group of sisters who worked to make this event a success along with the brothers who helped from behind the curtains. May Allah reward everyone for their contributions and may HE Almighty accept this humble effort in HIS Divine Court and present its reward as a gift in the Blessed Court of the Holy Prophet Muhammad sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam. Aameen.

We pray that this beautiful Kingdom of Bahrain be blessed with many such spiritual and Islamic activities and events. And sincerely pray that the Imam Malik bin Anas (ra) Society of Bahrain and its Chairman Shaykh Rashid bin Ebrahim Al-Muraikhey (hafadhahuLlaah) be equally rewarded for all the pious deeds and actions carried out by Muslims under their patronage and support. Aameen.
